Yovelton

Location: Wilga Close, Albion Park Rail

Siblings, Edwin and Ida Bonser purchased 189 acres on the Oak Flats Estate about 1920, and built Yovelton, a lovely timber federation farmhouse. The house was named after their mother’s home village Yeovilton in Somerset, England. Ida continued to run the farm for a few years after her brother’s death in 1947, and leased the home until her death in 1968.

Shellharbour City Council acquired the home and restored it in 2014.
